About Us

Jim Lawter is a published author of stage plays, movie and radio scripts, books, articles, essays, songs, web content, and countless short fiction and non-fiction pieces. Jim was a corporate Financial Analyst and IT Manager for nearly 20 years, and an independent business consultant since 1997.

Susan Philipps is an Honours English graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree from UBC. After teaching for the Vancouver School Board, Susan spent many years with Canaccord Capital, one of Canada's largest investment firms.

Tom DeStefano has been composing and recording songs and scores for over 30 years. An accomplished pianist with a state of the art computerized recording studio and stable of vocal talent, Tom is able to create music in any style, on any scale. Tom has written and recorded hundreds of songs, composed many musical plays and reviews, and scored the soundtracks for independent films such as "Trees," "The Root of All Evil," and "Silent."

Our rates, calculated in Canadian Dollars, are flexible and each project is considered on an individual basis.

We offer a free consultation and estimate. Our rates are based on $25 an hour. The rate may decrease incrementally based on the size and nature of the project. New clients may be asked to pay up to 50% of the estimate in advance, the balance upon delivery. Flat fees and flexible payment terms are available with well-defined project schedules.

Our estimates are always conservative, and we never exceed them without an approved re-evaluation.
